Will YOU Foster A Dog.. .This will save a life!

Kind People! We really need your help.... we have several wonderful dogs needing a foster home, ASAP. This is especially critical over Thanksgiving, because many of our core volunteers go out of town.... we REALLY need your support! If you can foster a dog for a week or two... or longer (!) PLEASE email or phone us right now!

We REALLY need your support! We can provide a crate, food, toys... whatever it takes to make this a successful experience for you and the dog.

You WILL be saving a life...........

**Please** Take One Minute to make a HUGE difference!

In an attempt to reduce California’s deficit, Governor Brown has proposed a substantial weakening of the Hayden Act, including sections that require shelters to care for homeless and lost companion animals for up to six days before euthanizing them. This holding period is crucial to allowing lost dogs and cats to be reunited with their families or adopted when they are unclaimed or abandoned.

Please take a moment today to contact Governor Brown and your state legislators here: http://ow.ly/8Fcn2 Urge them to oppose any legislation that will remove existing protections for homeless and lost companion animals. It took me just a minute or two... very simple, and SO important!

Violet...

Violet came into rescue on January 25th, from Los Banos. She is a beautiful girl, and so sweet. Unfortunately, she had a large mammary tumor right next to her 'armpit'. It was a little raw from the skin rubbing, and from ulceration..... My heart sank when I saw it.

We got an appointment to go to the vet at 5pm, with Dave Gordon at Mission Pet. He told me that it could not be completely removed, and that within no more than a month's time it would become unmanageable. We made the decision to let her go, to euthanize her... the same day that she arrived.
