It's Still Hot in SF!

Well, the temperatures may have cooled off, but it's still a hot weekend! We had a great mobile adoption... two of the "Pac-N-Save" puppies were adopted to great homes... We'll be in Bernal tomorow, at the Beast with the third pup and a few other older dogs. In the evening we'll go hear Paul's band at the Knockout (on Mission, near Valencia). Paul and his sweetie Shannon are two great volunteers who show up to help us at mobile adoptions in the Lower Haight...

Yesterday we rescued four dogs from Modesto. One sweetheart whelped pups last sunday, but one was stuck. The "loving" owners brought her to the vet with a temperature of 104... Upon learning that she was going to need a c-section to remove the dead puppies, said owners left her to be euthanized. The AMAZING folks at Empire Vet did the c-section and Tammi brought her to us yesterday. We begged the owner to let us have her puppies, as she could still nurse them, but the jerks said they were doing just fine on the bottle. Anyone with a brain knows how difficult it is to bottle feed newborn pups... they'll surely all end up dead within a week's time....... What a shame.

Tammi also popped over to the Stanislaus shelter. She plucked three dogs from the euthanasia list... One older pom went to Muttville, a Senior dog rescue group.. One VERY pregnant girl with flea allergies came here... (the stork is a'comin soon!) and other sweet girl, a white and red chi mix is with us.... Look for photos of the new girls soon!

And so it goes....
