Sam - Sam
**UPDATE** here's an update from SamSam's foster people, our training and behavioral specialist friends over at Walk On Pup in Oakland:
This little guy is super athletic and full of fun. Like most boston terriers, he comes in two speeds: stop and go. He’s looking for a very active family with plenty of time to exercise him and enjoy his joie de vivre. He loves any toy he can carry around the house proudly, especially his blanket and rope toy. His favorite activity is a toss-up between cuddle time with his foster people, fetch, mopping the floor with his tongue and road training with the bike: he has many talents.
He bonds very closely with his caretakers, making him an excellent protector and loyal guardian: it’s Sam Sam at your service. Because he’s always looking to his people for a job, he is displeased by being left alone and can be very vocal about his displeasure. He isn’t well suited for apartment living or owners that leave for extended periods of time. Sam Sam is high energy and very interested in chase games, so he’s also not well suited for a home with cats or small children.
Sam Sam is easily motivated when it comes to training. Treats, his favorite toy or your “good boy” are all the same to him- he’s happy if you’re happy. That being said, he needs a dog-savvy owner who will be willing to continue his education and exercise in their home for him to be successful. While dog parks aren’t the place for him, he would make an excellent candidate for agility once he’s there. Right now he’s learning basic obedience, leash walking, home manners and dog social skills in a controlled pack environment in his foster home.
He come with WalkOnPup written behavioral recommendations.

Sam is such a wonderful dog... He is a 3-4 year old boston terrier, one with a LOT of energy!
Sam loves his people.... he likes to cuddle, he LOVES to play tug of war... he likes plush toys and balls... balls with squeakers are GREAT by Sam!
Sam also needs a big yard to play in....
We need a home that will not leave Sam alone for hours at a time. It's too stressful for him, and he starts to bark. We think that Sam would be good in a home with older kids. He is not good with all dogs, but he's working on his manners. Bottom line is that Sam will need an experienced home. :-)
You'll be rewarded with lots of love and MANY smiles. This is one special lunk, and we hope you'll consider making him part of your family.
