Madeline and Anette - ADOPTED!!!! UPDATE!!
UPDATE: these sweet girls were adopted together! they have a wonderful home and will live out their lives together! We are SOOOOOOO Happy!
Here comes Madeline! Anette is never far behind!
Madeline and her sister Anette were an owner surrender at the Merced shelter. Both of them had severe Demodex when they arrived (search blogs for "Madeline and Annette" and "Yin and Yang" for more info/pics) and have been under close care and supervision by Mission Pet Hospital. Both pups had lost most of their hair and were crusted head to toe with Demodex (mite) sores. When they first arrived they were not playing, making sound, or even really moving - now it is quite the opposite!
Maddie and Little Ann are happy little puppies - they have gained weight and are growing in smooth, soft, shiny puppy fur coats. They have great appetites and love to take long naps in the afternoon between wrestling. One would barely know these puppies had been so severely neglected, they love snuggling and nose licks and have a well-rounded temperament - they are fine with their foster's cats and other dogs, and enjoy meeting new people.
Are they Puggles? Maybe? Hard to tell, but there is surely a healthy mix of Pug, Beagle and fun. Anette has fawn coloring with a black mask, and Madeline is black with white tap-shoes and a little white dot on her chest. Anette is short with a long body and big beagle paws, and Madeline is tall, slight, and has a little smooshy pug face. These pups are going to be small dogs, likely under 20 lbs - small enough to fit on the same lap together.
Both puppies have been in ongoing Vet care at Mission Pet Hospital, but are on the verge of full recovery. We are taking applications and would love to adopt these bonded girls out to the same family, or apart with a family with other dogs - they love to play with other dogs! They are ready to love you, now.
Maddie and Little Ann are up to date with Dhlpp shots, and are paper trained (on the way to being house trained!)

You of WDR have done a fantastic job with these beautiful lil girls. I would agree that their bond must be great and adopting them together would be the best. Congratulations on the love and care that has been poured upon them with such gentleness and good intentions.
