WDR Needs Foster Homes!

Kind People! The shelters are OVERFLOWING with animals who are being killed because of space. This includes purebred dogs, litters of moms with puppies, mutts.... seniors... no breed, age or gender is safe.

We are doing our part in rescuing dogs.... our foster homes are FULL! We REALLY need your support! If you can foster a dog please email asap! We can provide a crate, food, toys... whatever it takes to make this a successful experience for you and the dog.

You WILL be saving a life...........

Fostering is an important task. When fostering you free up a space at Wonder dog headquarters for us to save another dog. As well, there are some dogs that just do not do well with other dogs, and some that just need a little extra attention. You help to socialize these dogs, and provide a loving warm home for these dogs while they are going through this transition. We ask that a foster family bring their dog to at least one mobile a weekend. You are not required to stay; you can simply drop them off and pick them up. As well you are required to always have a foster dog on a leash while outside. Fostering is a really important job, and it really helps a lot of dogs come out of their shells a little before they find their forever home.

We Need YOUR help! Please send us an email at linda@wonderdogrescue.org for more information.

Why I Foster?

i've fostered through Wonderdog, lots - for me, it is one of the most rewarding experiences i've ever had. dogs can smile, i've seen it!

not only have i learned so much about taking care of dogs, but i've also met a bunch of WonderPeople along the way. dogs can teach you a lot about yourself through interaction, and they are eager learners too! this is a great way to "try out" having a dog live with you and your lifestyle so when you find the right dog you'll know what to do! also, it can be a fun way for your dogs to have some company on a revolving basis. volunteering is not only great for people, but it is a cool thing to put on a resume as well.

i always think it is fun to meet different dogs, especially WonderDogs, and give them a safe, quiet place to bloom. there is so much potential in rescue dogs, it is just sometimes hard for prospective owners to see if they have not recently had a chance to relax, trust, and love. foster homes allow dogs to recuperate and prepare themselves for new lives in future forever homes.

WonderDog will purchase all food and medical care for your foster, ...the "thank yous" and slobbery kisses from your foster are completely free.
