Fancy is a beautiful and very intelligent 14 month old spayed Shepherd mix. She weighs in at 46lbs, has a beautiful reddish brown coat,fabulous "stand-up" Shepherd ears and soft brown eyes. Her ears and tail are tipped in black. Fancy loves to be with her people - she is affectionate and attentive. She also does well with kids, cats and other dogs. Fancy knows "sit" and "down" ,and is working on "stay","shake" and "drop it" . She'd love to have a home with people who will take her on walks, hikes or out running....being out and about and playing are two of her favorite things. Because she is a young dog, Fancy will need ongoing and consistent training, but she's so smart and engaged that she will love learning new things. She'd be great at a dog sport like flyball if her new humans are so inclined. True to her Basenji heritage, Fancy has a short no shed coat an doesn't smell like a dog. She also has a range of vocal sounds tht are unique to Basenjis including their famous yodel or "baroo". Fancy is healthy and up to date on all her shots. Fancy is being fostered in San Francisco, but her foster can only keep her for a limited period of time, so we'd like to find her a new foster, or better yet, a new forever home as soon as we can.
