Baby Ingrid - ADOPTED
Baby Ingrid was born on December 22nd, 2009... via C-section. She and her sister came to rescue a few weeks ago. Ingrid is a fawn (with some black) Boston Terrier.
Please know that her sister, Baby Fanny, was given to me following the death of Raja. I asked to take Ingrid as well, because they were bonded. At the time they arrived Ingrid was suspected of having Liver Shunt, a terminal condition. We did the blood testing last week and found her to NOT have this!
However, she has some mild neurological issue. At THIS time, there is no way of knowing whether this will remain the same, worsen or improve as she gets older. I would describe her physically as being a bit 'gangly'... She shows NO signs of seizure activity. Baby Ingrid plays like the dickens with her sister, is SO full of energy and life! She is 11 and 1/2 weeks of age and weighs 3 and a half pounds. She will probably be a ten pound boston when fully grown.
We want to keep Ingrid in the Bay Area, so that we have the option of doing some neurological testing as she is a bit older. If you are interested in adopting her please send an application over to us. IF you have an application on file send an email stating your interest in her. PLEASE know this: You must have familiarity with the potential problems she faces. As a person who has lost several dogs to neurological disorders I can tell you that it can be a hard road. There is no reason to expect that she WILL have trouble... but then again, we just do not know. We want a family who will commit to keeping her for LIFE. Please be prepared to articulate this in your email or application to us.
She is a spitfire... loves to play, snuggle with her foster mom, give kisses. Baby Ingrid will love having a playmate... another small dog to wrestle with.. We look forward to hearing from you.

Wiggles (Baby Ingrid)
My fiance and I adopted Baby Ingrid almost a month ago now and she is doing absolutely amazing! Her new name is Wiggles which was given to her due to her slight uncoordinated movements, which just adds to her adorable personality! She loves her new boston sister Abby Rose and they do everything together. Abby has taught her how to tear stuffing out of toys and is still trying to teach her to use the doggie door, although Wiggles is taking awhile to catch onto that, thank goodness! I'll be putting up an official update with some great pics soon! We just adore this little girl and she has added so much to our lives, she's our little baby. :)
PS. Nicole, we would love to have a playdate with Link and her sister Fanny!
