THE DOGS NEED *YOU*!
I’m writing today to ask for your help with a very important project. We have helped SO many dogs with special medical needs in the past year.... our coffers are DEPLETED... Your help is urgently needed to continue this work. These animals don’t deserve to die! Your tax-deductible donation will help Wonder Dog continue to rescue and rehabilitate more special needs dogs. Please help us to give more dogs a second chance at life.
Here are a few who have been saved recently, thanks to our donors:

Top Hat came from the Fresno area. Born at WDR, his medical needs & Cleft Palate necessitated 100% bottle feeding and ongoing veterinary attention. Top Hat will likely have more medical needs

Yin was a pug mix puppy who, along with her sister, arrived in rescue. They had a horrible case of demodectic mange. Within 4 months of intensive care, at a cost of over $1,000, their condition healed. Yin and Yang were adopted out together to a loving home. They are thriving today, thanks to the wonderful care they received!

Bootsie’s skin condition took over a year to treat, at a cost of $1,000. It took a lot of work, but she finally healed and was adopted to a very loving home. Most shelter pups with demodex are euthanized.

Lilly came to us from Kings County last month. They removed over 100 foxtails embedded in her fur. Her skin was in such terrible condition that further work was needed. Her foster home took her to the hospital, where she was anesthesized and had more foxtails removed. The cost to us was nearly $500. Lilly still needs medical attention to complete this process, and a possible surgical procedure as well.

Jasper, from Turlock, came into rescue with severe demodex and skin problems, along with painful foot and leg deformities. It will take months to heal his skin.... but he is recovering!

We found Pirate in Oakland and immediately took him to the vet. Eye removal done at a cost of $420. Pirate is fairly deaf and mostly blind, but since his surgery has been adopted into a very loving home.
