8/26 UPDATE: Callie does stairs.......... Maybe she didn't when she arrived.... but she's got more muscle tone and has lost a little weight..... she flew up and down the 3 flights of steps at her foster mom's house! This is one SUPER-incredible dog. She is housebroken, very quiet.... and SO LOVING! It's amazing to see callie wiggle with happiness for a belly rub and a good scritch-scratch. I just ADORE her!!!!!!

UDATE 8/1: Callie needs a home without many stairs.... they're just too hard on her... she was adopted yesterday but returned because she fell on the steps. Please give this sweetie a chance!

Callie is also slimming down in her current foster home! Although she prefers to be snuggling with her people on the couch, or laying at their feet, Callie loves to go out for walks. A few blocks is all this girl needs, but she'll lead you on with vitality and spirit. For a three legged dog, she can run FAST! She does the cutest dance at the door, so excited for a walk!

Callie the Cattle Dog - she's beautiful, super smart, and a survivor. Miss Callie came to us from Merced last weekend and has since been flourishing in her foster home. She is house trained, is good with other dogs and cats, and gets around really well. Callie has survived through amputation of one of her rear legs, likely from getting hit by a car a long time ago, and we were able to pull her off of the euthanasia list just before her time. Won't you consider bringing this sweet girl with a hard-knock time into your world?

Callie is an estimated six years old, and has plenty of energy. Although she does enjoy her walks, her favorite place is on the couch, snuggling next to her human.
She's overweight, so Callie is now on a diet, and feeling a bit more safe and frisky every day. She runs in the lot, climbs up and down steps and hops up into the car - ok, sometimes we help her into the car, but she tries with gusto!
