6 years old
Pica is a six year old French bulldog who came to us through the Alameda Sheriff's office. She had been severely overbred and neglected, but has responded well to medical attention. She still needs to be spayed before going to her forever home. She's a lovely girl who gets along with all dogs, kids, adults and probably cats. Despite her physical neglect, she has a beautiful spirit. We do not think that she will need ongoing medical care for her skin, but it is possible - as is often the case with Frenchies. From her foster parent: April 2019 She does fine with my dog but she prefers humans. Bigger dogs makes her uncomfortable if she is on leash or in a confined space. She is house-trained but does need to go out regularly (every 3-4 hours). No separation anxiety. Sleeps through the night in a crate. A little bossy over food so we feed the dogs separately. Needs a nice long walk each day for stimulation. Without a good walk/exercise she gets antsy (tears up paper, gets into recycling bin). Super lovable dog. Likes to give kisses and nibbles. She's still learning how to "play". Should be watched when with young kids and she will get in their face to try to show her affection.
