Chihuahua mix
10 Years Old
From Tiffany's Foster Parents March 28: Tiffany is a very sweet, loving, and fun 10 year old chihuahua. She doesn't look a day over 2! She likes to snuggle, get belly rubs, and scratches behind her ears. Her energy levels and capacity to keep up on a long walk or jog match that of a much younger dog. Tiffany is house trained and adjusts quickly to her human's schedules. She is not a picky eater, she eats her kibble with no fuss but also happily accepts other treats like cheese (She loves cheese!!!) and meat. She doesn't beg for food or bother her humans while they're eating. She drinks lots of water, which we love to see. She adapts easily to new environments and is quick to get along well with new people. She hasn't been cat, little kid, or other dog tested in the home but on her walks, she is friendly to all and doesn't bother other dogs. She walks well on a leash and will come check in with you if she is let off leash. She likes to roll around in the grass and is happy to accept pats from strangers. She also doesn't mind getting picked up, carried around (in bags too!), or bathed. Unlike many dogs, she is not wriggly and trying to run away in those situations. Tiffany is thrilled to sleep on the bed with her human, but also happy to sleep on a dog bed or couch in eyesight of her human. Tiffany can occupy herself well and is very easygoing. She likes to snuggle on the couch while her humans cook or watch TV, but she also likes to go on runs and walks around the neighborhood. She loves her walks, and gets extremely excited when her humans start getting things together for one. Tiffany is playful and has a surprisingly youthful personality given her age. Her humans rarely think she gets bored. Tiffany doesn't need toys or anything fancy to keep her occupied. She doesn't chew socks or shoes or mess with any of her humans things. Tiffany needs attention but once she has it, she is calm and easy to please. She is fairly quiet, but can get a little anxious when her human leaves - after a few minutes she calms down and goes back to business. Tiffany gets anxious in car rides, but her fosters have found that sheltering her from the window views calms her down. Tiffany is a real trooper! Her fosters can't say enough good things about Tiffany - she is entertaining, easy to please, energetic, chill, and a such a pretty little gal. Anyone would be lucky to have a sweet girl like Tiffany in their home.
