Tiki is a terrier/chihuahua mix looking for that wonderful family to call her own. Tiki's foster mom says she is great with other dogs, she came into foster and met all the other dogs the first night and was perfect with them, both big and small. She was perfect with the cats, too! She is affectionate, curious, snuggles under the covers at night. She's not much of a barker, and is very food motivated, which will help with training. The shelter first thought she was 6 but then decided 9 based on her teeth but her foster mom feels that she is more likely towards the lower number based on her activity level. She is lithe and active and playful....a real gem. Tiki was found as a stray and clearly neglected for quite a long time before that. She is gentle and easy going without being clingy and she seems to really like and enjoy every other dog she had a chance to meet when she was at the shelter before she came to Wonder Dog Rescue. Tiki did have some issues with guarding her resources at the shelter, but has been doing better now that she is in a foster. The closest her foster mom has seen is with a ball that she found and mildly protected. For this reason, it would be best for Tiki to be in a household with either all adults or adults and older children. Some rescued dogs have more expenses than others, and Tiki did require a hernia repair in addition to her spay, vaccines and a complete dental. If you are not able to adopt Tiki, but would like to help with her expenses, you may make a you can make a tax deductible donation. Any amount will be appreciated, and will help Tiki or another dog on the way to a happy, healthy life with a new family.
